StoryBook App workshop by MN CBIG Member Scott Spinks

Looking for a workshop on how to get your stories out there in the digital world.  Look no further.  This Saturday is a great opportunity to learn more about Storybook apps by none other than Scott Spinks.  This event is being put on by the Minnesota Society of Childrens Book Writers and Illustrators and is sure to be great!

Information about the workshop is below

"App-ortunity: My Journey into the World of StoryBook Apps"

Location: Star Bank Community Meeting Room250 Prairie Center Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344

Date & Time: Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 1:00-2:00 Registration and mingle 2:00-5:00 Workshop Presentation

Cost: $25 members of MNSCBWI, $35 non-members Light refreshments will be served.

During this two-hour workshop, Scott Spinks, Cartoon Artist & Writer, will share his knowledge and experience acquired during the development of his first storybook app, "The Legend of the Bonetree." First, he'll take us through the production timeline, highlighting key areas and bringing to light some surprises. After exploring the production timeline, he'll discuss the features that make Apps unique to any other storytelling medium.

Depending on the size of the group he will lead one of two exercizes: 1) We will break into small groups. Each group will then spend a few minutes creating their own 2-to-3 page app storyboard (using classic stories, which he will supply).

2) We will create a short collection of storyboards on the white board (using a single story).

In either case, the exercise will bring clarity to the number of steps required when developing a full-fledged storybook app.

Following the storyboarding portion, Scott will spend a small amount of time talking about marketing and discussing certain aspects that make App marketing unique.

Finally, there will be an opportunity for Q&A's.

Undeniably believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the net the simplest thing to be aware of.
I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people think about worries that they just do not know about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal.
Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
